Japanese Kirby superfan flexes her massive collection of plushies

A Kirby superfan took to social media to share their passion for their favorite Nintendo character by showing off their massive collection of merchandise.

Kirby is a pink puffball infamous for his abundant appetite and cuteness. Fans first fell in love with Kirby from the Game Boy video game “Kirby’s Dreamland” in 1992. The character has been featured in over 23 games since, including the “Super Smash Bros.” video game series.

The Kirby superfan, who goes by the handle @0418_kirby_ on Twitter, says it took about five years to gather the hundreds of Kirby products, which they showed off in photos displaying plush Kirbys crammed into bookshelves, stacked on top of one another and pinned to a wall.

The majority of the Kirby merchandise consists of plushies with a variety of adorable expressions. Some hold the star he rides in the games and others display the characteristics of his victims, as whenever Kirby inhales another character, he gains their powers.

Kirby recently made video game music history after orchestra 8-Bit Big Band won a Grammy for their 2021 jazz cover of the 1996 “Kirby Super Star” song “Meta Knight’s Revenge.”

Kirby’s latest video game appearance was in early March in “Kirby and the Forgotten Land” for the Nintendo Switch.
