It will be interesting to see if Liverpool make any late moves in the transfer market in light of Jurgen Klopp's decision to leave the club at the end of the season. That news has dominated the headlines since Friday, with potential transfers not at the forefront of discussion.

And January is traditionally quiet as far as Liverpool have been concerned. A few exceptions such as Virgil van Dijk and Luis Diaz come to mind but in the main, things are pretty low key. And this one looks as though it could also be relatively quiet.

There has been speculation about one or two players coming in, but nothing too firm at this stage. The Reds are battling on four fronts again this season, so may want to add to their ranks. Then again, the players in situ now are doing very well, thank you very much, even with the recent absence of Mohamed Salah.

Besides, when he is back fit, they will be even stronger!
