Jamison Crowder, Denzel Mims finally set to play for Jets in Week 4

The Jets are banged up at wide receiver with Elijah Moore and Jeff Smith already ruled out for Week 4 with concussions, but two of the focal points of last season’s aerial attack are set to play the Titans on Sunday.

Jamison Crowder and Denzel Mims are both slated to be active when Tennessee comes to MetLife Stadium, according to Robert Saleh. Crowder has not played yet this season due to a bout with COVID-19 and a subsequent groin injury, while Mims has been a healthy scratch in New York’s last two games.

Crowder caught 59 passes for 699 yards and six touchdowns working out of the slot last season and will reprise that role in his return. Mims has just one catch so far this season, a 40-yard pickup against the Panthers in Week 1.

Marcus Maye has been ruled out against the Titans, as expected. Maye was expected to miss 3-4 weeks with an ankle injury, but Saleh said that he is expected back for the Jets’ rematch with the Patriots, placing him out for just two games.

The veteran safety, who is playing on a one-year franchise tag, has 23 tackles, one sack and one pass defended in three starts this season. He is the only Jets defender who has played every snap in 2021.
