James Harden remains away from Sixers, unclear to play vs. Bucks
The Philadelphia 76ers will get back to work at practice on Monday to prepare for opening night with the Milwaukee Bucks on the road on Thursday. One player who will not be at practice is James Harden.
As the future Hall of Famer continues to wait for his trade request to be fulfilled, Harden remains away from the Sixers. The team announced that he is away due to a personal matter and it is looking unclear if he will play against the Bucks.
The last time Harden was with the team was at practice on Oct. 15. He has been a professional throughout this process, but him not being with the team for now over a week is not a good sign for the Sixers as they do expect him to be with them.
It is increasingly unclear whether Harden will be available to play in the Sixers opener vs. Milwaukee on Thursday, sources said. https://t.co/oRzkRhwxFL

Coach Nick Nurse is having the Sixers prepared to play with or without Harden so this shouldn’t be a surprise to them. They understand the situation and they will move forward whether he shows up or not.
