James Harden, Joel Embiid made more history in Sixers win over Pacers

In what was expected to be an average contest with the Indiana Pacers on a Monday night in March, the Philadelphia 76ers were caught in a track meet. The Sixers and the Pacers exchanged body blows all night with their offensive execution before Philadelphia walked away with a 147-143 win in regulation.

The Sixers received some big performances from many pieces on their roster, but once again, the stars took center stage at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

James Harden had 14 points, 20 assists, and nine rebounds while Joel Embiid had 42 points on 11-for-16 shooting. This is the second time that Embiid has had 40 points in the same game in which Harden had 20 assists. It marks the first time in NBA history that a pair of teammates have done this twice in the same season.

Harden and Embiid have continued to grow as a star duo and they will look to finish off an impressive road trip on Tuesday when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
