James Conner, many others ruled out for Cardinals in finale

The Arizona Cardinals will wrap up the 2022 season this Sunday afternoon on the road against the San Francisco 49ers. They will do so with a number of players out with injuries.

The team released its final injury report of the season with eight players ruled out and another four who are questionable for the game.

Ruled out

DL Zach Allen (hand), WR Robbie Anderson (back), LB Zaven Collins (calf), RB James Conner (shin), CB Antonio Hamilton (hip), WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee), QB Colt McCoy (concussion), CB Marco Wilson (neck)

Safety Chris Banjo (concussion) and defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter (knee) came off the injury report as they were placed on injured reserve, so the Cardinals would have had 10 players out.

With the exception of Wilson, none practiced at all during the week. Wilson was limited for two days and downgraded to a non-participant on Friday.


LB Victor Dimukeje (illness), DL Leki Fotu (shoulder), CB Josh Jackson (hamstring), LB Tanner Vallejo (knee, wrist)

All but Dimukeje were limited all week. Dimukeje was added on Friday after missing practice with an illness.

No game designation

OL Kelvin Beachum (knee, ankle), WR Marquise Brown (wrist), OL Billy Price (knee), LB Isaiah Simmons (ankle), DL J.J. Watt (groin)

All were full participants on Friday. Beachum was out Wednesday, limited Thursday and full on Friday.

Brown was a full participant all week. Price was limited for two days before fully practicing Friday. Simmons was limited Wednesday and a full participant the final two days. Watt, added to the injury report Thursday after he was limited, was good to go Friday.

  • DT Javon Kinlaw (knee, illness)
