Jamaree Bouyea to sign 10-day contract with Wizards after stint with Heat

Jamaree Bouyea of the Sioux Falls Skyforce will reportedly sign a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Bouyea, who went undrafted last year, has been with the Skyforce in the G League this season after playing with the Miami Heat in summer league and the preseason. He is averaging 17.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, six assists and 1.7 steals in 34 games with the Skyforce.

The 23-year-old signed a 10-day contract with the Heat last month. He appeared in four games and averaged 3.8 points, 1.3 rebounds and one assist. The team opted against signing him to a second 10-day contract and he later returned to Sioux Falls.

Bouyea is capable of scoring at a high level and will provide the Wizards with some depth in the backcourt as they deal with an injury to Monte Morris. He is expected to be week-to-week with a back injury after receiving an epidural injection.
