It was a night to forget for the Oregon State offense.
With the Beavers looking to have a winning record this late into the season for the first time since 2013, they fell to 4-5 overall and 3-3 in conference play. To make matters worse, on a day where the Beavers defense held the Huskies to their second lowest point total of the season, the offense was shut out. If not for a garbage time touchdown by the second string against Utah, tonight would have been the second home game this season where the offense was shut out.
Following a game where the offense had 119 yards of total offense, senior quarterback Jake Luton recapped the loss.
We struggled in every facet of the game and so it's definitely frustrating ...we're going to have to watch the tape and improve. We can only go up from here.
Luton later said the loss will hurt and he'll let it hurt for a day before moving on to preparing for Arizona State next weekend.
