Jaguars will pick 17th in 2024 NFL draft

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ season ended Sunday with a 28-20 loss to the Tennessee Titans. After finishing 9-8, the Jaguars are set to pick 17th in the 2024 NFL draft.

While the results from the remainder of the Week 18 games will shuffle the order some, the Jaguars’ place is set (strength of schedule tiebreaker):

  1. Chicago Bears (via Panthers): 2-15 (.521)

  2. New England Patriots: 4-13 (.523)

  3. Washington Commanders: 4-12 (.513)

  4. Arizona Cardinals: 4-12 (.561)

  5. New York Giants: 5-11 (.513)

  6. Los Angeles Chargers: 5-11 (.525)

  7. Tennessee Titans: 6-11 (.524)

  8. Atlanta Falcons: 7-10 (.432)

  9. New York Jets: 7-10 (.502)

  10. Minnesota Vikings: 7-10 (.513)

  11. Chicago Bears: 7-9 (.463)

  12. Las Vegas Raiders: 7-9 (.489)

  13. Green Bay Packers: 8-8 (.473)

  14. Denver Broncos: 8-8 (.486)

  15. Seattle Seahawks: 8-8 (.516)

  16. Indianapolis Colts: 9-8 (.488)

  17. Jacksonville Jaguars: 9-8 (.531)

  18. Cincinnati Bengals: 9-8 (.572)

Selections 19-32 are decided by the postseason.

Last offseason, after winning the AFC South title and a playoff game, the Jaguars only did light tinkering with the roster. Just one starter was replaced and — by in large — the team ran it back with the same lineup. That won’t be the case again in the 2024 offseason, as Jacksonville clearly has tough decisions to make.
