Jaguars had equal pre-draft grades for Trevor Lawrence and Jaylen Waddle

Often times, NFL teams will post videos or mini-documentaries highlighting the pre-draft process and what happens within the draft room when they are on the clock.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who had the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, released a short video to their social media accounts and forgot to blur out some important information.

In a short portion of the video, the draft board is visible, along with the names of prospects and their draft grades.

Jacksonville went with the obvious choice of Trevor Lawrence at No. 1 overall, and his spot on their board had him graded as an 8.0.

What’s interesting about that is the Miami Dolphins section of the board was visible and their No. 6 overall selection, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, was also given a very high grade of an 8.0, the same exact grade they gave Lawrence.

Now that the draft has concluded and players have signed their contracts, this really doesn’t mean much besides the fact that the Jaguars scouting staff viewed Waddle as a very, very good player.
