Yahoo Sports' Krysten Peek shares her evaluation of Purdue Boilermakers G Jaden Ivey
KRYSTEN PEEK: Jaden Ivey elected to return to Purdue for his sophomore season, and it paid off in a huge way. The 6 foot 4 shooting guard has been a projected top five pick all season long. And NBA scouts love the way he gets downhill and his body control around the rim.
He'll need to work on his shot selection from the perimeter at the next level, shooting just 36% from deep. There are glimpses of Ja Morant's playing style in Ivey's game. The pair actually worked out together last summer, and it showed on the court at Purdue.
Ivey is considered the top shooting guard in the draft class and a player teams later in the lottery could be looking to trade up for. He's still young at just 20 years old, and has a high ceiling for an NBA guard. And is a player to watch next season.
