The Mets plan to start Jacob deGrom three more times before the All-Star break, Luis Rojas said during his pregame availability on Sunday.

According to his schedule, that would have him starting on July 1 at Atlanta, July 6 vs. Milwaukee and July 11 at Pittsburgh.

If this schedule goes according to plan, and assuming that deGrom makes the NL All-Star team, he would be limited to pitching just one inning in the game, which takes place on July 13, per MLB rules.

"We'll have to see how things go from one start to the other, or his pitch count, or how he feels," Rojas said. "All that's got to happen before a decision is made from us or him. The good thing is we are getting him three starts before the All-Star break."

DeGrom pitching in the All-Star Game would be a huge draw for MLB, but at the end of the day, an exhibition game shouldn't have an impact on how the Mets handle getting their ace on the mound for them.
