Jack Ahcan joins Bruins on entry level deal


The Boston Bruins have reached an agreement to sign defenseman Jack Ahcan to a two-year, entry level contract, general manager has Don Sweeney announced.

Ahcan, 22, served as the captain of St. Cloud State last season, scoring seven goals and providing 18 assists.

He finished his college career by making back-to-back National Collegiate Hockey Conference All- Star Second Teams

Overall, Ahcan featured in 144 games in his college career, tallying 21 goals and 82 assists across four years.

At the time the NHL entered a hiatus amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Bruins had the league’' best record at 44-14-12 and sat eight points ahead of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference.
