Already at the beginning of this early signing period, the Oregon Ducks have signed 20 new signees in this prestigious class of 2021 that will go down as one of the best in history.
Mario Cristobal continues to impress on the recruiting trail even amidst a global pandemic.
But that wasn’t the only good news the Ducks received on Wednesday.
Five-star defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau, the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect in class of 2021, officially announced his final five schools.
He is narrowing down his recruitment to Alabama, Ohio State, USC, Washington and Oregon.
Many had the 6’5”, 277-pound DE from Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, Washington narrowing down his decision to either Ohio State (his former Eastside Catholic teammate WR Gee Scott is currently a freshman) or staying home to play 25 minutes west in Seattle, Washington.
The fact that he listed Oregon in his top five along with Washington just adds another element to this heated rivalry should he choose one of these PNW schools.
For now, Oregon Duck fans can imagine a scenario with a defensive line that could feature Kayvon Thibodeaux on one end and Tuimoloau on the other.
