In this Mets vs D-Backs post game news conference, though consistent at bats have been hard to come by, J.D. Davis knows his job is to "be ready when my name is called." He went deep for the first time this season, an opposite-field shot that gave the Mets some breathing room in their 6-2 win over Arizona. Driving the ball the other way was definitely by design and "it felt really good." Davis continues to be impressed with Mets starter Tylor Megill's performances, saying his Opening Day start was a huge confidence builder and Megill has "been scary" since then. While the team is pleased with the strong start, "we gotta stay on the gas pedal."
