Israeli submission specialist Natan Levy has a date and opponent for his UFC debut.
On April 17, Levy (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will make his first walk to the UFC’s cage when he squares off with Team Elevation’s Austin Hubbard in a lightweight fight. The UFC Fight Night event does not have an officially-announced location or venue at this time.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking Monday but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Undefeated as a professional, Levy earned his UFC contract with a dominant victory over then-undefeated Shaheen Santana on Season 4 of Dana White’s Contender Series this past November. Levy, 29, put on a grappling clinic and submitted Santana with a third-round arm-triangle choke.
Hubbard (12-5 MMA, 2-3 UFC) has alternated losses and wins since his promotional debut in May 2019. He has wins over Kyle Prepolec and Max Rohskopf and losses to Davi Ramos, Mark Madsen and, most recently, Joe Solecki in the UFC.
With the addition, the UFC’s April 17 lineup includes:
Paulo Costa vs. Robert Whittaker
Bartosz Fabinski vs. Gerald Meerschaert
Parker Porter vs. Chase Sherman
Tracy Cortez vs. Justine Kish
Tony Gravely vs. Nate Maness
Austin Hubbard vs. Natan Levy
