The NHL announced on Friday that four players on the Boston Bruins entered COVID protocols, and as a result, Saturday's game against the Buffalo Sabres and Tuesday's game against the Islanders have been postponed.
It's expected that the Bruins will be able to re-open their facilities for practice on Wednesday, March 24, pending test results over the next few days. The decision was made by the NHL's, NHLPA’s and Club’s medical groups.
The Islanders (19-8-4) are currently tied for first place in the East Division with the Washington Capitals (19-6-4) at 42 points each.
After an impressive nine-game winning streak, the Isles have dropped their last two games to the Caps and Philadelphia Flyers.
