No Wizards reserve has ever done what Ish Smith accomplished Friday night in Toronto.
He scored 26 points, shot a perfect 9-for-9 and nearly helped the Wizards pull off an immaculate comeback on the road in Toronto.
According to Chris Miller, Smith became the first bench player in Wizards history to go perfect from the floor with at least nine shot attempts since the stat was first recorded in 1971.
Before Smith, the best shooting performances for a Wizards bench player included an 8-for-8 performance from Mitchell Butler in 1994 and an 8-for-8 showing from Larry Stewart in 1993.
The last player in the NBA to do it was Dwight Howard just a few days ago where he went a perfect 10-for-10 for the Lakers.
With the way Smith has played as of late, it's probably time for him to leave the second unit and rejoin the starting lineup.
