Isaiah Thomas on his return to Boston: 'It will always be love'

For Isaiah Thomas, games at TD Garden will always be just a little more special.

The beloved former Celtics guard returns to Boston on Wednesday as a starter on the Washington Wizards. On Monday, he spoke at length with reporters about how it'll feel to play in front of those fans.

"It'll be cool to be back in Boston. The love is genuine between me and the city," Thomas said.

As for the reaction he'll get from C's fans in his return, Thomas knows what to expect.

"The reaction's going to be love. It'll always be love," he said. "They're going to cheer. They're definitely not going to boo."
