Injury Wrap: Game-day calls for Doug Baldwin, Carlos Hyde
It’s not the messiest of injury weeks, though we start with a couple of key players who are game-time decisions. Let’s get to work.
• Doug Baldwin (groin) practiced Friday after missing the two prior days. He’s considered a game-time decision and the Seahawks have the night game Sunday, so make sure you have a pivot available (Paul Richardson is a good place to start). C.J. Prosise (ankle) is unlikely to play, which could push more work to Chris Carson.
• Carlos Hyde (hip) will be a game-time decision for Sunday’s match at Arizona. It’s a 4:05 pm ET start, so plan your day accordingly. Matt Breida is the backup running back.
• Jordan Reed (chest, shoulder, toe) had a full week of practice but is still listed as questionable for Monday’s game at Kansas City. His owners would be prudent to keep Vernon Davis on roster, just in case.
• Sam Bradford (knee) remains out indefinitely. Case Keenum, off a surprisingly strong game, will start against Detroit.
• Not the best time to dial up Michael Crabtree (chest). He missed Friday’s practice, he’s coming off a terrible game (say that for all of the Raiders), and now he has to deal with Denver’s elite secondary

• Willie Snead (hamstring) landed on the injury report as questionable. Given that he’s missed three games on a suspension and now the Saints are out-of-routine with a London game, Snead belongs on everyone’s bench. If he produces, take it as a pleasant surprise, reevaluate forward.
• The Falcons removed Julio Jones (back) from the injury report, so no concerns with him. Buffalo has yet to allow a touchdown pass, though that’s a major statement about the opposition thus far.
• The Panthers don’t have Kelvin Benjamin (knee) on their final injury report, so he’s playable at New England. Cam Newton (shoulder) was also removed from the report.
• Matt Forte (toe) won’t play against Jacksonville, which sets up Bilal Powell to see featured work. Elijah McGuire (4.8 YPC) has been respectable in a limited role.
• Despite a balky knee, Jay Ajayi is expected to play against New Orleans. Kenny Stills (hand) practiced Friday and should play.
• Ben Watson (calf) had a full practice Friday after missing the two previous days. It’s difficult to trust the Ravens passing game right now, but maybe Watson will do something; he’s been useful the last two games, and Baltimore’s wideouts have a putrid 13 catches thus far.
• Melvin Gordon (knee) had a full practice Friday after taking it easy the two prior days. He’s not 100 percent, but is expected to play against the Eagles.
• A few weeks ago, Kenny Golladay was a player to nickname. These days, he’s just another wideout with a hamstring issue. He missed two days of practice and seems unlikely to be a factor at Minnesota.
• John Brown (quad) is expected back for the home game against San Francisco. J.J. Nelson (hamstring) is also expected to play.
• Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) is out indefinitely. Stand-in Tyler Kroft is not a fantasy factor.
• In a messy tight end year, Ryan Griffin might be a sneaky waiver-wire add. He caught five passes for 61 yards and a score at New England, and C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) is on injured reserve.
• Falcons LB Vic Beasley (hamstring) won’t play until late October or November.
• Colts CB Vontae Davis (groin) had a strong practice week and is expected to play at Seattle.
• And to end this injury wrap on a high note, here’s an encouraging word on Ty Montgomery, who was injured in Thursday’s win over Chicago.
Turns out Packers RB Ty Montgomery’s rib injury is not as bad as GB thought, per source. Montgomery is day to day and could play vs. Dallas.
