Injury Report: Warriors’ Steph Curry (hip) probable, Andre Iguodala (rest) out vs. Cavs on Thursday

As they prepare to open the first game of a back-to-back to end a four contest road swing, the Golden State Warriors will be without a key piece off the bench on Thursday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Warriors will hold out Andre Iguodala on Thursday for a rest day. The veteran forward played the last five games, logging 19 or more minutes off the bench in each contest. On the season, Iguodala is averaging 3.8 points on 41.9% shooting from the field with 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game.

In Golden State’s blowout over the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, Iguodala tallied five points on 2-of-4 shooting from the floor with four rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes.

After missing the game on Thursday, Iguodala should be available to play on Friday against the Detroit Pistons, per Steve Kerr.

Joining his teammate on the injury report is Steph Curry. The two-time Most Valuable Player was listed as questionable with a hip contusion on Wednesday, but has been elevated to probable for the contest on Thursday.

Despite moving from questionable to probable, the Warriors will likely be highly cautious with the reigning Western Conference Player of the Week. Jordan Poole, Damion Lee, Gary Payton II and rookie Moses Moody could see increased roles in the backcourt to close the road trip.

Tipoff between the Cavs and Warriors is set for 4:30 p.m. PT in Cleveland on Thursday evening.
