Injury Report: Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins (non-COVID illness) out vs. Grizzlies

The Golden State Warriors will be missing a key starter for their rivalry contest on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies in San Francisco.

After not being listed on the injury report initially, Andrew Wiggins has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Grizzlies due to a non-COVID related illness.

After missing 15 games due to an adductor strain and an illness, Andrew Wiggins made his highly-anticipated return to the Golden State Warriors lineup in early January.

Since returning, Wiggins has played seven games. During that span, Wiggins is averaging 12.4 points on 34% shooting from the field with 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 28.9 minutes per game.

With Wiggins out, the Warriors could lean on Jonathan Kuminga, JaMychal Green and Anthony Lamb on Wednesday night against the Grizzlies.

The Warriors are set to host the Grizzlies at 7 p.m. PT on Wednesday at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
