The Golden State Warriors could be without a starter and a key piece off the bench for Sunday’s tilt against the Toronto Raptors. Andrew Wiggins (right foot soreness) and Kevon Looney (left hip soreness) are listed as questionable for Sunday’s rematch of the 2019 NBA Finals.

After tallying 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field with six rebounds, an assist, block and steal in 28 minutes against the Clippers on Friday, Wiggins sat out Golden State’s light practice on Saturday.

Wiggins has been a consistent second scoring option behind Steph Curry over the last seven games. During that span, the former Rookie of the Year has recorded at least 15 points in each contest for the Warriors. Wiggins is averaging 17.6 points on 43.6% shooting from the field with 4.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 blocks in 32.1 minutes per game.

During a season filled with injury problems, Looney missed time in 2019-20 with hip soreness. Due to his injury history, the Warriors could be extra cautious with the veteran center. Through the first nine games of the season, Looney has served as a backup option behind rookie James Wiseman.

If Looney can’t go against Toronto, Wiseman will likely get more minutes along with Eric Paschall off the bench in a small-ball center role. Juan Toscano-Anderson could also get time in the frontcourt.

Kent Bazemore and Mychal Mulder could be in line for more playing time if Wiggins’ right foot soreness lingers toward tipoff against Toronto.
