Grilling indoors just isn’t as fun as searing food over an open flame outside in the sunshine. One of the best parts is watching your food cook too, so you know exactly when it’s done. The problem with a lot of indoor grills is that they just don’t provide the same sear, they’re hard to clean and they close like a panini press, so you can’t see your food cooking. Alas, this indoor grill by Hamilton Beach solves all of those issues.

The Hamilton Beach Electric Indoor Searing Grill gets really hot — up to 450° F — and has a lid for sealing in all of the juices and flavors. However, that lid has a glass window for keeping an eye on your food. You can cook up to six servings on it at a time, and it has an extra-large drip tray for catching fat and juices before they hit your countertop.

While that drip tray may sound like a pain to clean, it’s actually dishwasher-safe. Yes, you can toss the drip tray, grill plates and grill hood all in the dishwasher when you’re done grilling for an easy clean-up.

Over 8,500 Amazon shoppers give this grill a 5 out of 5-star rating, with one reviewer summing up most of the comments saying: “We. Love. This. Grill.”

“I used the grill for the first time last night with excellent results,” wrote one Amazon reviewer. “I cooked two venison tenderloins, which had great grill marks, were cooked perfectly and had a great flavor similar to my outdoor gas grill.”

“I can find no fault in this grill. It’s a perfect size. Clean up could not be easier,” wrote another reviewer. “I’ve had this grill for, I guess it’s now been a little over two years, and it’s still up and running like a champ. I honestly use this grill at least twice a week, so it has to be one of my best purchases.”

The grill costs $84.99 on Amazon, and if you have Amazon Prime, it will ship within two days. Of course, if you don’t like it, there are free returns, too. But looking at the reviews, you’re going to love it.
