Feb. 12—OSKALOOSA — The Indians of Oskaloosa took on the high-powered Warriors of Norwalk at home on Friday night as they celebrated senior night. The Warriors flexed their offensive muscles early and went on to down Osky, 75-39.
The game started with the Indians sporting an all-senior lineup to celebrate senior night. Aidan Scholes got things started with a three to get the Indians on the board first. From there, Norwalk used a 15-2 run to jump ahead. Scholes added a couple more buckets but Norwalk star Redek Born was in complete control as he went off for 16 points in the first quarter leading the Warriors to a 26-13 lead.
Born and the Warriors didn't stop there as they continued to cause problems for the Indian defense as the lead ballooned to 46-21 at the break.
Both sides eventually emptied their benches in the second half with Oskaloosa falling in their final conference game of the season to finish with a 2-10 record in LHC play.
Norwalk shot 49% overall on the night and were led by a huge showing from Born, who finished with 31 points on 11-of-14 shooting with four rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Osky shot 35% from the field and 4-of-20 from three while getting outrebounded 36-16 with 18 turnovers. Max Roach had a solid night off the bench with 17 points and three assists while Scholes added 10 points and six rebounds.
Oskaloosa (4-16) finishes off their regular season slate with a trip to Burlington (5-15) on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
