Team USA's Katie Ledecky and Erica Sullivan finished as the top two in the women's 1500m freestyle final during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games at Tokyo Aquatics Centre. It was a triumphant win for Ledecky, who adds to her legendary status in the pool, and an equally impressive achievement for Sullivan as she competes in her first Olympics. The event was historic, too, as Wednesday marked the first time women have been allowed to swim the 1500-meter event at the Olympics.
