Ime Udoka’s suspension suggests much more than a consensual relationship

When the news of the scandal surrounding Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka and the punishment of a year-long suspension to address it first broke, early reporting described the relationship Udoka had with a female team employee as “consensual“.

But it would not take long to hear that an independent investigation into that ostensibly consensual relationship was launched after “unwanted comments” had been made by the Celtics head coach. What does all of this mean for Boston in terms of what has since been described as “multiple” violations of team policy by Celtics lead Governor Wyc Grousbeck in a press conference this week?

The hosts of the NBC Sports “Brother From Another” show Shalise Manza Young and Michael Holle recently discussed whether the relationship was, in fact, actually consensual given the power dynamics that might be at play and the details we have learned since.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
