The HS play that inspired Jalen Carter’s spike interception attempt
Jalen Carter of the Philadelphia Eagles tried to intercept a spike attempt by the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes on Monday.
The inspiration, Carter said, came from a play in a high school game between Colorado Castle View and Mountain Vista.
The game was 42-41 in favor of Castle View and Broady Ashworth came in to save the day with the incredible play that Carter had seen.
Carter’s effort and comment:
“I saw it on the internet, I’ve seen it on YouTube, some high school kid tried, and he actually caught the ball,” said Jalen Carter.
