Hoyas in mix for McClung

Hoya Report

October 9, 2017 - Georgetown aggressively pursued Class of 2018 Mac McClung. An athletic, high scoring guard with Team Loaded (VA) on Adidas' Gauntlet Series and Gate City High School (VA), McClung chose Rutgers over 24 other schools, including of course G'Town.

Things have changed; after a recent visit to the Scarlet Knight's New Brunswick campus for MidKnight Madness, McClung announced he would contemplate wearing more than just the 'R', with the Asbury Park Press quoting him saying "I would like to thank the Rutgers coaching staff for all the opportunities they have given me, but after careful consideration I have decided to reopen my recruitment”.

Are the Hoyas re-pursing McClung, a three star rated player by Rivals.com?

In a word, yes, witnessed by head coach Pat Ewing and his staff's recent full-throated appeal at McClung's home. When your head coach and his three recruiting assistants - Robert Kirby, Akbar Waheed and Lou Orr - all trip to rural Gate City, VA, it says something significant.

What are some of this situation's particulars? We have them on Premium Court, including the Hoyas' chances of landing McClung, their original pursuit of him, and more!
