Howell has appeared in 45 career games for the Texans but has never played a significant role within the team's run game. The prodigy from Florida Atlantic University has spent nearly his entire career playing on special teams, where Howell appeared in 795 snaps since 2018. Howell's production as a running back has been limited to 86 offensive snaps while rushing for 74 yards on 21 attempts.
