Getting back on the winning side of the ledger has Virginia Tech on the move in the national polls. The Hokies rose one spot to No. 15 according to the Associated Press, and two to No. 17 in the coaches' poll.

Clemson, the only team to beat Virginia Tech this year, remains at No. 2 in both polls behind Alabama. West Virginia dropped out of both polls after falling to TCU over the weekend - the Hokies beat the Mountaineers in the first weekend of the year.

Other ACC teams in the polls include No. 11/10 Miami (the Hokies play the Canes on the road Nov. 4) and consensus No. 20 NC State (not on the VT schedule). Louisville and Georgia Tech are just outside of both polls - with VT headed to Atlanta Nov. 11.

If the Hokies can knock off both Miami and Georgia Tech, there's a good chance they'd not only win the ACC Coastal, but be a top-10 team in time for a potential rematch with Clemson in the championship game.
