Remember Vince Carter's dunk over Frenchman Frederic Weis? Sure you do. How can anyone forget a player leaping over a 7-foot man mountain at the rim? Well, with that in mind, feast your eyes on the following feat of skilled elevation, courtesy of Flower Mound (Texas) High senior Jordan Green.
According to the YouTube video provider, the dunk came in the Jaguars' final game of the year, a 59-35 drubbing at the hands of visiting crosstown rival Flower Mound Marcus, and accounted for two of Green's team-high 18 points. Yet, while Marcus -- which sits just outside of the national top 10 in the RivalsHigh 100 -- may have walked away with the victory, Green made a statement in the final high school game of his career, leaping directly over a defender who remained planted in the paint while trying to earn a charge against the guard.
Of course, this will hardly be the final dunk of Green's entire career. The senior is headed to Texas A&M next fall, where he'll have even taller obstacles to leap over. After all, Alexis Wangmene is 6-foot-7, and by the tip-off of the 2011 season he almost certainly won't be the tallest player on Texas' roster.
While TexasHoops.com ranked Green as the 12th-best overall prospect in the state of Texas, Aggies fans will almost certainly celebrate him as a cult legend as more and more see his career-ending dunk.
After all, leaping human beings in a single bound is hard to argue with when it comes to attention-grabbing talents.
