Highlights from Mel Tucker takng the podium ahead of Western Kentucky
Michigan State is off to a 4-0 start and is ranked inside the top-20, something not many fans expected heading into the month of October.
Coming off of an overtime victory against Nebraska, Tucker will be leading his Spartans against the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky this Saturday.
Mel Tucker took to the podium for his weekly press conference on Tuesday afternoon, addressing multiple things surrounding the program heading into their week five contest.

Tucker: "We had some big-time recruits at the (Nebraska) game, and the atmosphere was outstanding. It wasn't just recruits for football. … It's critically important that we get after it in there, for a lot of reasons."

.@mwenzel2 asks about the guys in the transfer portal. Tucker says that "after Game 4, as a coach, you're not going to be surprised if you have some guys go in the portal."
That's the limit for the number of games in a redshirt season. Gervin and Kline had already redshirted.

Tucker said he told the ref "you made the right call, and we were wrong." Points to that penalty on the return TD as specifically one of those instances of productive anger and things that are unacceptable.
