For the record: The all-around mentality and challenging schedule for Gilmour have led the Lancers back to the regional round. In the district final against Buckeye, Maria Flynn (13 kills) and Marlie Davis (11) led the attack. The size up front gives opponents a challenge in the middle and on the pins. Add in a defense led by Brie Habeeb, who had 16 digs against Buckeye, and Gilmour is clicking on all cylinders. ... Norwalk is led by junior Lucy Schlotterer, who has racked up over 400 kills and averages 5.7 kills per set. Fellow junior Mac Wineman has also been strong in the back row with 5.8 digs per set, while the freshman duo of Emma Gebhardt and Bella Hernandez have led the block with 0.7 and 0.5 blocks per set, respectively. The Truckers get strong play all around the court but will need to be ready for the challenges that Gilmour brings.
Hercik's pick: Gilmour
