High school teacher defends ‘perfectly healthy belly’ after being asked if she’s pregnant

Katie Lolas lives in Sydney where she runs a health and fitness blog as well as a healthy living Instagram page. Lolas uses that account, which has more than 160,000 followers, to post fitness tips, meal prep ideas and general life updates. But on Oct. 25, 2019, she also used it to respond to a “rude” social media user who apparently asked if she was pregnant. “Asking a woman if she’s pregnant isn’t nice,” her Instagram post begins. “I know most people mean well, but it’s completely inappropriate. Pointing out what you might perceive as a ‘baby bump’ is not cool. It’s actually quite rude”.
