HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER: Permian sees season end against El Paso Eastlake

Mar. 26—EL PASO — The Permian boys soccer team saw its 2021-22 season come to an end Friday in the bi-district round of the Class 6A playoffs, falling by a 5-2 score against El Paso Eastlake at Eastlake High School.

The Falcons got out to a strong start in the first half, taking a 5-0 lead into the halftime break.

Bryan Aguirre scored a hat trick for El Paso Eastlake, with Jordan Widner and Gael Barragan adding in separate scores.

Permian held the home team off from scoring in the second half, with Amari Everage and Alex Ontiveros finding the back of the net for the Panthers.

El Paso Eastlake will move on to face either Keller Timber Creek or Fort Worth Paschal in the area round of the playoffs.

Permian closes out its campaign with a 7-10-3 overall record.
