HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Cheryl Seavey picks up win No. 100 with B-R girls basketball

The Bridgewater-Raynham High girls basketball team had plenty to celebrate on Friday.

With a 62-39 win over Dartmouth, the Trojans (8-3) completed the first half of their Southeast Conference schedule with a perfect 4-0 mark in the league. The win was also No. 100 at B-R for coach Cheryl Seavey. Seavey is 100-35 in seven seasons with the Trojans. She also won 12 games at a previous two-year stop at Middleboro.

B-R drained nine 3-pointers (eight combined coming from Natalia Hall-Rosa and Reese Bartlett) and broke the game open with a 16-2 fourth quarter.

Hall-Rosa scored a team-high 25 points while Bartlett added 12. Fiona Kelly scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

East Bridgewater 65, Abington 37: Phoebe Katilus (18 points, 10 rebounds) posted a double-double in the win for the Vikings (10-1). Sophie Bradbury scored 17 points and handed out 8 assists. Allie Pechulis added 11 points. Mary Klein led Abington with 13 points.

St. Mary's (Lynn) 65, Archbishop Williams 27: The Bishops dropped the Catholic Central League game.

Austin Prep 49, Cardinal Spellman 42: The Cougars dropped the Catholic Central League game.

Westport 49, Avon 19: Hanelie Cadet scored 7 points while Kylie Mallett added 6 in the loss. Dahlia Parent had a strong game rebounding.

Natick 46, Braintree 34: The Wamps lost the Bay State battle.

Foxboro 79, Canton 73 (OT): The Bulldogs battled back from a 50-39 deficit entering the fourth quarter to force overtime, but fell short in the Hockomock League game.

Framingham 74, Weymouth 44: Elleanna Santos scored 10 points in the loss.

Hanover 41, Pembroke 31: McKalah Gaine posted a double-double (14 points, 17 rebounds) in the win. MK Flynn, Dani Tilden and McKenzie Foley also played well.

Hingham 52, Plymouth North 30: Perry Blasetti scored a game-high 17 points in the win while Colleen Johnston scored 10 points and blocked 7 shots.

West Bridgewater 69, Holbrook 27: The Wildcats won the Mayflower League game.

Mashpee 51, Hull 43: Lucy Peters (13 points), Haylee Londergan (12) and Kristina Orpen (10) all finished in double figures in the loss.

Oliver Ames 45, North Attleboro 32: Jasmyn Cooper (12 rebounds) and Sarah Hilliard both scored 12 points for the Tigers (10-1).

North Quincy 54, Scituate 48: Sophomore captain Orlagh Gormely scored 22 of her 27 points in the second half for the Raiders (11-0). Ava Bryan posted a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Autumn O'Campus (6 points, 10 rebounds) also played well. For Scituate, Grace McNamara led the way with 17 points, Emilia Rojik had 11, Sarah Fogarty added 9, and Grace Love chipped in with 8.

Rockland 45, Notre Dame Academy 37: The Bulldogs won the non-league game. Ava Orlando scored 18 points for NDA while Ava Foley finished with

South Shore Tech 28, Old Colony 22: Ellery Campbell scored 17 points for the Vikings (9-2) while Mia Bradshaw added 7.

Quincy 49, Plymouth South 19: Lena Waldron led the Presidents with 15 points. Antenella Ibrahim (8 points) and Caroline Campbell (7) also contributed to the win.

Stoughton 38, Sharon 24: Katina Varnum scored 8 points, highlighted by some clutch late free throws, and Evie Lam led the way with 12 points. Alyssa Edwards and Vanessa Phelimond both grabbed 7 rebounds.

Marshfield 71, Duxbury 55: Danielle Bergeron scored 22 points for the Rams in the Patriot League win. Taylor Brilliant and Allie Ferris each added 12, and Sadie Ellwood (8) and Sydney McCabe (7) contributed. Freshman Lyla Peters scored a career-high 21 points for Duxbury. Sophomore Molly Donovan (12 points) and senior Olivia Kyriakides also played well in the loss.

Whitman-Hanson 51, Silver Lake 23: Abby Martin and Anna Stone both scored 10 points apiece for the undefeated Panthers (13-0, 10-0 Patriot League). Taryn Leonard added 8 points off the bench.

Rising Tide 45, Sturgis West 28: Senior captain Laney McGoff had a trio of 3-pointers to tally a team-high 13 points for the Herons (7-2). Johnny Tompkins scored 12 points while Raeghan Blake added 10.

BOYS BASKETBALL

BC High 69, Xaverian 59: Mike Loughnane (29 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists) starred in the win. Will Doyle posted a double-double (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Mahari Guerrier added 13 points.

Natick 77, Braintree 49: The Wamps lost the Bay State Conference game.

Cambridge Rindge & Latin 67, Brockton 62: The Boxers lost the non-league game.

Brookline 78, Milton 34: The Wildcats lost the Bay State Conference game.

Foxboro 46, Canton 40: In the loss, senior Lanse Dorcelus scored 12 points, and junior Matt Chafin chipped in with 9 for the Bulldogs (5-6, 4-6 Hockomock League).

Cohasset 48, Carver 47: Tyler Lennox scored 14 points in the loss.

Marshfield 59, Duxbury 41: Connor Walden had a big double-double (21 points, 15 rebounds) in the win for the Rams (8-2).

Framingham 68, Weymouth 51: The Wildcats dropped a Bay State game.

Pembroke 61, Hanover 38: Joey Dwyer scored 28 points while Brady Spencer chipped in 16 to lead the undefeated Titans (13-0). For Hanover, Tyler Vincent had 11 points and Jake Peterson added 10.

Plymouth North 65, Hingham 59: Plymouth North was led by JayMori Leonard's 19 points. Ivan Darko (15 points), Sean King (9) and Alec Peruzzi (8) also chipped in. Liam McBride scored 19 points for Hingham in the loss while Nick Johanes added 14.

West Bridgewater 55, Holbrook 44: The Wildcats defeated the Bulldogs in the Mayflower League game.

Hull 56, Mashpee 36: Gabe Griffin scored 23 points while Joe Johnson added 13.

Oliver Ames 65, North Attleboro 42: Zach Taglimonte scored 28 points to lead the Tigers while Cole Craffey chipped in with 12.

North Quincy 77, Scituate 60: Sophomore captain Daithi Quinn scored 23 points to lead all scorers for the Raiders (8-3). Zach Taylor chipped in with 15 points while Qunonuw Scott scored 10 off the bench. Colm Geary scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Keegan Sullivan had 20 points and 7 assists in the loss.

Norwell 58, Old Rochester Regional 42: Matt Leaver scored 19 points to help the Clippers win the non-league game.

Plymouth South 51, Quincy 38: The Panthers move to 9-2 with the win.

Stoughton 80, Sharon 51: Freshman Matt Greenspoon (24 points) and junior Rayan Sablon (20 points) starred for the Black Knights. Costa Heyward (11), Cashmere Mathurin (8) and Josh Riveira (8) also played well.

Whitman-Hanson 63, Silver Lake 57: Amari Jamison (17 points) and Ryan Vallancourt (10) led the way for the Panthers (8-5, 6-4 in Patriot League). Matt Wilmarth scored 26 points for the Lakers.

South Shore Tech 54, Old Colony 52: Brandon LaFleur (Abington) led all scorers with 20 points for the Vikings (3-5, 3-1) in the Mayflower League win. Jesse Lyons (Rockland) added 15 points.

Beaver 77, Thayer Academy 44: The Tigers dropped the game on Friday.

St. Mary's (Lynn) 62, Archbishop Williams 46: The Bishops lost the Catholic Central League game.

BOYS HOCKEY

Archbishop Williams 3, Bishop Feehan 1: Jackson Sylvester, Sean Murphy and Dylan Picard scored goals in the win.

Mashpee/Monomoy 3, Cardinal Spellman 0: The Cardinals lost at home.

Weymouth 4, Framingham 4: Andrew Ferguson scored two goals, including a short-handed tally, for the Wildcats.

Silver Lake 3, Whitman-Hanson 1: Aiden Dunphy, Patrick Murphy and Markie Kelleher scored to power the Lakers (10-3). Goaltender Peter Bond starred, and Sam Dilley played a strong two-way game. Bobby Hunter scored the lone goal for the Panthers.

Oliver Ames 3, Attleboro 1: Shaun Teehan, Jack Corey and Elliot Cohen each scored a goal while Brandon Burke stopped 23 shots in the win.

St. Sebastian's 6, Thayer Academy 4: The Tigers lost in the finals of the 24th annual Valicenti Cup. C.J. Foley had two goals while Gavin Comforth and Tommy Anderson had solo tallies.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Quincy/North Quincy 6, Norwell 3: Maggie Lynch had a big night with 4 goals and an assist in the win. Maddie Bailey added 2 goals and 2 assists. Morgan Novak (3 assists) and Maggie Dineen (2 assists) also had multi-point nights. Perry Saich scored two goals for the Clippers in the loss and Bella Burns netted the other.

Notre Dame Academy 2, Sandwich 1: Devon Moore (Milton) and Ava O'Donaghue (Scituate) scored, and goaltender Lily Prendergast (Hanover) had a strong game as the Cougars (4-3-3) topped the Blue Knights (10-2).

Thayer Academy 4, Middlesex 3: Lila Shea scored two goals and was named MVP of the Valicenti Cup. Morgan McGathey and Kate Sullivan scored the other goals.

Weymouth 4, Framingham 0: The Wildcats won the Bay State battle.

GYMNASTICS

Barnstable 138.95, Notre Dame Academy 135.95: Katie McCormack won the vault (9.3) and beam (9.0), but the Cougars (5-1-1) dropped their first match of the season. McCormack was second in the all-around while Sophia Chavez was third.

Weymouth 133.5, Braintree 124.75: The Wildcats posted a season-high score as Maggie Lynch scored a 35.75 in the all-around to take first. Molly Higgins was second in the vault while Marina Russell placed second in the bars and floor. Alex Rey and Higgins tied for second on the beam.

WRESTLING

Milton 42, Quincy/North Quincy 35: Willie Dunn sealed the Wildcat win with a pin.
