—Pierce Petersohn poured 25 pointsand Jayce Leonardo tallied 23 as Triton toppled Rochester STEM Academy 95-48. Ilyas Abdi made four 3-pointers and scored 20 points for STEM Academy while Ilyas Hassan hit three 3-pointers and added 13 points.
—Gabe Hein got his season off to a rousing start as he set Blooming Prairie's single-game scoring record with a whopping 49 points as the Blossoms opened with a nice 93-69 victory over Lyle/Austin Pacelli. Zack Hein drained four 3-pointers and scored 27 points for the Blossoms. Landon Meyer hit five triples and scored 28 points for L/P.
—Sven Oberg scored 18 points and Luke Sems added 13 as Pine Island rolled past Dover-Eyota 69-36.
HIAWATHA VALLEY LEAGUE
—Kendra Harvey made four 3-pointers and scored 17 points, Alexis Nelson had 15 points and Madison Ohm added 14 as Byron opened with a 56-52 win over Stewartville. Audrey Shindelar led the Tigers (3-2) with 19 points and Savannah Hedin chipped in with 15.
—Kasson-Mantorville's Ella Stoskopf hit a 15-foot buzzer beater to lift the KoMets past Lake City 64-62. Makenzie Carrier led K-M with 20 points while Stoskopf finished with 12 points and 17 rebounds. Lake City's Sadi Sanders had tied the game with a 3-pointer with 4.2 seconds left. Peyton Meincke led Lake City with 19 points and Sanders added 17 as she made four 3-pointers.
—Macy Koenen and June Lizarralde scored 11 points each as Pine Island slipped past Zumbrota-Mazeppa 49-43. Adi Preston, Melanie Raasch and Paislee Peterson all had 10 points for Z-M.
—Rushford-Peterson had five players score in double figures in a 86-40 victory over Schaeffer Academy. Ellie Ekern paced the Trojans with 14 points, Torryn Schneider scored 13, Nadia Happel had 12, Cassandra Boyum chipped in with 11 and Nevaeh Happel added 10. Addie Morrisey led Schaeffer with 12 points.
