High school girls basketball: Riverside's Laurenty, Fulton headline all-WRC picks

Feb. 23—Riverside's girls basketball team took home the highest honors when the Western Reserve Conference announced its annual all-league squad on Feb. 23.

Savanah Laurenty was named the player of the year in selections made by the league's coaches, while Brian Fulton took home coach-of-the-year honors for the second year in a row. Laurety and Fulton led Riverside to an undefeated, 10-0 slate in league play this year.

Joining their coach and standout senior on the all-conference team were fellow Riverside players Sarah Fulton and Jordan White, as well as Chardon's Nicole Krakora and Cameron Gerlica, Kenston's Morgan Cicek and Alexis Black, Mayfield's Olivia Williams and Nav Buttar, North's Cami Welty and Samantha Cantrell and South's Lacie Luketic and Makenna Owens.

Honorable mention selections are Riverside's Rhys Shantery and Aubrey Laurenty, Chardon's Abby Zeiger and Cassidy Grau, Kenston's Aurora Young and Amy Jarmolowicz, Mayfield's Jenna D'Angelo and Gabby Moore, North's Alex Hamilton and Angelie Cisternino and South's Caitlin Boruszkowski and Sydney Isabella.
