Postgame Q&A:

John Douglass — Northeast Lauderdale

Q: How does it feel to be back at Northeast and 1-0 on the season?

A: It's great. This is a great place with great people. Just because I left here and went somewhere else dosen't mean that I thought anything different. I'm excited to be back.

Q: How do you think Jase Jimison played?

A: He played good. We planned on taking three or four shots, and we did, and I thought all the balls were good. If he misses it, I want him to miss it where he did—long. I tell him I'm never going to fuss at him for a long one. But, we had him back there all night long, and he took shots, ran the ball well, had pretty good command of the offense for the first game.

Marcus Boyles — Meridian

Q: How do you think your team played in your first game?

A: Really, really good on defense. Too many mistakes and self-inflicted penalties tonight.

Q: How can you fix the penalty issues?

A: We've just got to be more disciplined. It starts with the coaches. We've got to get better, so I'm not going to blame it all on the kids.

Q: How do you think Jordan Siaw played at quarterback?

A: He did a good job. He made some good decisions and a couple that he'd like to have back, but overall he played good.
