HIGH SCHOOL BOYS GOLF: Indians roll to sixth title of season

The Indians dominated the competition on Saturday at the Pulaski County Shootout.
Madison Central posted a score of 314 and beat out Rockcastle County by nine strokes for the team championship. McCreary Central (329) was third and Somerset (333) was fourth.
The event was held at Eagle's Nest County Club in Somerset.
The Indians have won six tournament titles so far this season.
Central Warren Thomis also dominated the individual leaderboard. The senior shot a 69 and won by five strokes. Conner Ford of Rockcastle County was second.
Central's Braydon Bond shot an 80. Radney Bales finished at 82. Seth Barker had a score of 83 and Boo Crawley shot an 84.
The Indians are set to return to action next Saturday at the Rowan County Invitational, which is being held at Eagles Trace Golf Course in Morehead.
Hajjar leads Model
The Patriots competed in the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Invitational on Saturday in Independence.
Model finished with a team score of 378 and tied for 20th place in a field which included some of the top programs in the state.
St. Xavier (294) took the title, while South Oldham (300) was second and Ryle (303) was third.
Senior Jake Hajjar led the way for the Patriots, shooting an 85. Garrett Kidd finished with a score of 89. Senior Ryan Kidd shot a 100 and Carson Neal finished at 104.
