Tomas Hertl then went and scored three consecutive goals to earn himself a hat trick. All three goals, including the OT winner, were assisted by Brent Burns. Timo Meier earned assists on the first two out of three goals.

14:14 into the second, Brady Skjei brought the Hurricanes within one. Brett Pesce and Jordan Staal earned assists on this score.

In the third, Seth Jarvis tied the game up 3-3. His goal was assisted by Sebastian Aho and Ian Cole.

In overtime, Anthony Duclair secured the game-winner for Florida. Jonathan Huberdeau earned the sole assist on the score.

Marian Studenic tied the game up again 13:32 into the second. His goal was assisted by Jesper Boqvist and Ryan Graves.

Five minutes into the third, Oliver Bjorkstrand scored the game-winner for the Blue Jackets. His goal was assisted by Jakub Voracek and Adam Boqvist.

TORONTO 4 COLORADO 5 OT

Alex Kerfoot scored the first goal of the game 7:54 into the first. Michael Bunting earned the sole assist on the score.

Auston Matthews then scored two consecutive goals to bump up the Leafs lead to 3-0. Morgan Rielly and Jake Muzzin earned an assist each on the two goals, whereas Alexander Kerfoot notched two assists.

Nathan MacKinnon got the Avalanche on the scoreboard 17:11 into the first. His goal was assisted by Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog.

Just over five minutes into the second on the power play, Nick Ritchie scored a goal. His goal was assisted by Wayne Simmonds and Ilya Mikheyev.
