Here's when Zion Williamson will make MSG debut against Knicks

Look out Madison Square Garden: Zion Williamson will be on the court to face the Knicks very soon.

While fans will be amped to see first-rounder RJ Barrett play at MSG, they'll be even more excited to see him face Williamson and the Pelicans during the preseason on Oct. 18, sources confirmed to SNY's Ian Begley.

These two already faced off during both of their Summer League debuts, but Williamson left with a knee injury after tallying 11 points. The game was also affected by the earthquake out in the Mojave desert in early July.

While Williamson was shut down for the rest of the Summer League, Barrett slowly found his way toward the end. He wound up averaging 15.4 points and 8.6 rebounds over five games.

The Post's Marc Berman, who originally reported the Pelicans matchup, also notes the Knicks starting up their preseason schedule against the Wizards on Oct. 7. Madison Square Garden will open its doors for the first time on Oct. 11 against the Wizards as well, and will finish their fourth preseason game against the Hawks.
