Here's how the coaches in ESPN's 'Film Room' reacted to Alabama's winning TD

Did Duke coach David Cutcliffe call Alabama’s shot?

The ESPN ‘Film Room’ broadcast of the national championship game is always entertaining and Alabama’s game-winning touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa to DeVonta Smith provided another moment of fun.

Cutcliffe was with former Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin, Colorado State coach Mike Bobo, Ole Miss coach Matt Luke, Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald and Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy on the broadcast. As the coaches watched a high sideline shot of the play and the formations, Cutcliffe said “this may end the national championship game right here” at the snap.

He was right. Take a look below.

That’s Bobo, a former Georgia assistant, doing the surrender cobra behind Sumlin. We also love Gundy’s nonplussed reaction to the play. While everyone else watching the game was going nuts, Gundy was looking like he was offered a cup of room temperature coffee.
