Here's that perfect J.R. Smith x LMFAO x Lil Jon supercut you didn't know you needed (Video)

Sometimes the simple ideas are the best ones. With that, I present friends of the program Oakley and Allen with an idea whose obviousness in no way mitigates its perfection — a supercut of J.R. Smith's NBA record-setting 22 3-point attempts during the New York Knicks' Sunday matinee road loss to the Miami Heat, as soundtracked by the 2009 LMFAO x Lil Jon booze-rap anthem "Shots."

“[Setting a record for 3-jacking has] not really been a goal of mine,” Smith said after setting a Knicks record with an Amar'e-irking 10 3-point makes (the third time in his career he's done that) and surpassing Damon Stoudemire's prior high-water mark for attempts in an unsuccessful effort to carry the Knicks offense when a dead-shooting-armed Carmelo Anthony couldn't, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press. "I saw the open 3 and tried to take them. I had to take advantage."

Well, that's darn near as perfect a J.R. quote as you're going to get. Mission accomplished, Mr. Smith. You did take advantage, and you did take the shots — like, to a historic degree — and now we've got a wonderfully encapsulating video clip to show for it. It's a real win/win ... except, y'know, for the loss.
