Lundqvist provides update one month after heart surgery originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Henrik Lundqvist took to Twitter to provide an update about how he's doing just one month after his heart surgery.

"What's up, guys? Checking in from a snowy New York City. It's been a month today since the surgery, and I feel good," Lundqvist said in the video he posted. "Good energy, moving around. Hope you guys are well."

Lundqvist has been upbeat and positive from the moment he's shared the news that he had to miss the 2021 season with his new team in Washington. After his three-day, open-heart surgery for an aortic valve replacement, aortic root and ascending aortic replacement, Lundqvist was again in high spirits -- even showing off adorable illustration of the operation by his daughter, Juli.

Though Lundqvist was disappointed to miss out on the chance to play for what would have been just the second team of his 15-year career, he looks quite healthy just one month removed from the operation.

Recovery from such a surgery typically takes four-to-six weeks to start doing usual daily activities and two-to three-months to fully recover. As seen in the video, Lundqvist rocking his fashionable attire around the Big Apple looks right on schedule.
