AggieYell.com's list of the 30 players most important to Texas A&M's 2017 success continues with No. 6, defensive tackle Zaycoven Henderson.
Height/Weight: 6-foot-2, 305 pounds
2016 stats: 40 tackles, 10 TFL, 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries
Why he's on the list: Henderson doesn't draw a whole lot of attention, but he's been A&M's most consistently good defensive tackle over the past two seasons. If the Aggies are going to improve on defense, the tackles are going to have to lead the way. And Henderson, in turn, will have to lead the unit that includes Kingsley Keke, Daylon Mack and Justin Madubuike.
AY Projection: Henderson seems to have a new fire about him and is taking his role as the veteran of the tackle group seriously. He's had a strong camp and looks like he's physically prepared for another SEC grind. 40 tackles, 10 TFL and 3 sacks isn't bad at all for a tackle, but he could top that and approach 50 tackles, 15 TFL and 5 sacks if Keke is continues his improvement.
