COREY ROBINSON: After 904 days off the court due to knee and hamstring injuries, Magic forward Jonathan Isaac made his long-awaited return on January 23. While he was restricted to 8 to 10 minutes in that win over the Celtics, fantasy managers received a reminder of what Isaac is capable of, even in limited duty. In those 10 minutes, he accounted for 10 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 2 3-pointers. And the two stints on the court included times when Isaac was asked to defend Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum.
Isaac is rostered in 43% of Yahoo leagues, a percentage that has increased significantly since his return. This is a case where fantasy managers will need to exercise patience, due to Isaac's potential minutes restrictions and the occasional game he'll miss due to injury management reasons. But even with those risks being present, along with Orlando having multiple young options in its frontcourt, the reward of rostering Isaac is far greater.
