Hayley Kiyoko’s Childhood Crushes Ranged From Johnny Bravo to Emily Blunt

From Cosmopolitan

There are two types of people in this world: those brave enough to admit that a cartoon triggered their sexual awakening…and cowards. For the courageous heroes in the first category, our series That Feeling When is the perfect platform to talk all about it. For the show, we get celebs to walk down memory lane and reminisce on some of their unique crushes. Their recollections have ranged from extremely cute to slightly worrisome.

This week we got the singer Hayley Kiyoko on board to divulge all the celebs and TV characters who piqued her developing interest. She simply did not hold back! Sure, young Hayley had butterflies for Anastasia, the cartoon Russian princess, but also, the character Johnny Bravo caught her eye? In Hayley’s own words, it was “not because [she] wanted to be with him but because she wanted to be him.” Johnny did manage to do well with the ladies, TBH.

Hayley also revealed that she’s always been into rude female characters. Think Emily Blunt in Devil Wears Prada and Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls, which I think is probably something that should be explored further. Ms. Kiyoko adorably told us all about an “almost” meet-cute she had with Emily at a café, where she got a glimpse of the actress’s side profile. Very intimate stuff. Watch the rest of the video to hear about even more of Hayley’s early crushes, and be sure to check out her new fragrance, Hue!
