Now Nike have produced a pair of special boots for his first international game since England's World Cup exit at the hands of Russia.

Kane shared a picture of his new wheels, writing: "Buzzing to wear these tomorrow night. Gold boots Thanks @nikefootball!"

The 25-year-old striker will wear the boots for the first time in England's Uefa Nations League clash with Spain on Saturday evening, where he will also be presented with the official Golfen Boot trophy.

Former England captain Tony Adams has called on Kane's England teammates to do more to help the Tottenham striker maintain his goalscoring form.

"I think we can do more for him," Adams told Sky Sports' The Debate programme.

"I think he needs more crosses, he's that type of player, he needs to be in the box more often and he needs people to create stuff for him.

"So it's about people around him. I expected him to start quite brightly because after a major tournament you're still quite fit, you've not lost your fitness and you're ready to bang. By about Christmas they'll be flagging and need a rest but not now."
